These tracks are designed to allow you to focus on growth in a particular area of interest. You’ll spend time each day in your tracks engaging the content and discovering how to live it out back on campus. Consult with your staff worker or small group leader if you’re unsure which track to sign up for.
Some of the first people to be interested in Jesus responded to an invitation to come and see what he was about; they spent the day with him and went on to change the world.
You’ll have a chance to spend a whole week with Jesus, answering the very same questions he asked his followers and skeptics alike-and ask your own questions in an atmosphere that is respectful and conducive to dialogue.
Join a small group of your peers to engage these important questions.
Come live with Jesus in chapters 1-8 of Mark’s Gospel. Using a manuscript study format, we will meet Jesus together in a new way. You will gain valuable Bible study skills to enrich your personal and group Bible study and worship as we take an in-depth look at the person of Jesus. If you want a fresh, up close and personal encounter with Jesus and want to wrestle over the secret of the Kingdom of God, then Mark I is for you!
God is inviting you to join his mission on campus as a Small Group Leader. We have identified a particular set of skills, skills you can acquire at Focus Week, skills that equip you to lead an awesome small group.
You’ll learn how to form a witnessing community, guide a Bible study and dive into God’s mission on your campus.
Jesus gave his disciples skills and opportunities to develop their character, and to help them become leaders who created a movement of reconciliation and love. His call to us is the same.
If you want to take the next step in leadership and sharpen your leadership skills, develop your character and learn how to pass that on, then you should join us in the Missional Leadership Track.
Staff approval needed.
(You must have permission from your staff to participate in this track.)
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant…” Matthew 20:26
Work Crew is an immersive experience of learning servant leadership, not by sitting in a room and thinking about it, but by practicing servanthood and reflecting with a community on what you are learning. You can expect 8-10 hours of work each day, daily Scripture studies and communal reflections, and the opportunity to attend evening sessions as your work allows. This track is not for the faint-hearted as there will be long hours serving meals to Focus Week participants. But what could God teach you as you lay down your life for others?
Work Crew track participants receive a full scholarship for Focus Week, but work 8-10 hour days in the dining room and kitchen.
